Hip Hop Dance Chair Exercise!

Join Rondae Drafts, Ph.D abd, and Executive Director of MusicDance for a 1 hour chair dance class. Travel through time on the "Soul Train" using clean-cut hip hop and rhythm and blues songs. The Brewster Council on Aging in partnership with the Brewster Ladies’ Library, are excited to present Dr. Randi Lebar as she shares the wild ride she took with her mother, pianist Elaine Lebar, who went viral on TikTok in 2020 while living in a memory care unit. Focusing on the power of music in dementia, the talk features many videos of Elaine and includes lessons Randi learned along the way about finding meaning and joy in their relationship, despite her mother’s mental decline. Sound Bath

Come join us for a midwinter treat and bathe in the healing vibrations arising from the magical tones of crystal bowls, gong, and voice.  Carol Marcy will introduce you to an experience that is immensely relaxing and renewing, as well as teach you how to bring healing energy to your own body, mind, and spirit. The program will begin with a nature-based guided meditation to help you settle into an inner focus of peacefulness. Please dress warmly and be prepared to lie down on the floor or sit in a chair. You may want to bring pillows, blankets, or a yoga mat to be comfortable for about 40 minutes.
